Rubber Lagging Pulley

A Rubber Lagging Pulley is a conveyor pulley (typically the drive or head pulley) whose surface is covered with a layer of rubber. This rubber coating, called lagging, serves two primary purposes: to increase friction with the conveyor belt for better drive traction, and to protect the pulley's steel shell from wear and abrasion.

Main Job: Improves grip to prevent belt slip and protects the pulley surface.

Key Feature: The rubber surface can be smooth or have patterned grooves for different levels of traction and self-cleaning ability.

Best For: Standard drive applications where reliable traction and basic protection are needed. It is the most common type of pulley lagging.
